This match will be played in the second round of matches in the English Conference league. It will be played at forest green's the new lawn stadium.


Forest green come into this match off of a 1-0 away win against Altrincham in the first round of matches on the weekend just gone. Striker Jon Parkin scored the winner in the 73rd minute. They played 3 pre season friendlies and got a good draw against Cardiff and a win against Bishops Cleeve. They did lose against Aston villa as well but got some good minutes in against some quality players. Last season they just missed out on promotion after reaching the play offs coming in 5th place. They were knocked out to eventual play off winners Bristol Rovers though.


Welling also started the season off with 3 points in a 1-0 home win against newly promoted Guiseley. Sahr Kabba got the winner in the 40th minute. Welling played 3 pre season friendlies and lost all of them to Ebbsfleet, Charlton and Maidstone. Welling finished last season just 1 place above the relegation zone in 20th position. It was a tough season for them but they just managed to stay in the conference.


Welling's win came against a newly promoted team that came up through the play offs in the division below. They finished 5th in the league but somehow managed to win the play offs to gain promotion. They are a team that in my opinion will probably go straight back down. I think Welling are 1 of the weakest teams in the league as shown by thier finishing position last season. Forest Green are a team that are improving season after season and just missed out on promotion last year. They will feel this year will be their season and I think it could be. The chairman that took over the club in 2010 has invested a lot of money into the club and they seem to be a club on the up. I think they will get a good win here and it should be by more than 1 goal. They are the better team that have better players and are at home. Also this fixture last season finished 4-1 to "the green" and I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar. The odds on this are dropping so get on it quick if you are going to.

Jonkopings vs Assyriska

 Jonkoping is the current leader of this league, and are hoping to qualified for the first league in Sweden. They will be hosting Assyriska here today, and will be looking for a way to bounce back from the draw played last time against Varnamo in order to keep their hope to qualify alive once again. They can't rely on the one point between them and Ostersund, and this will motivate them to play with their best once again.


In their last game against Vernamo, they open the goal market by scoring in the 60 minute of the second half, thanks to the goal scored bt Robert Gojani, however, five minutes later, Kozica replied them and decide the game once and for all.


Assyriska beat Ostersunds 4:2 at home in their last match, in a game which they were more determine, scoring the first goal by Genc in 2 minute and later double it by Holster in 22 minute. After resuming the 2nd half, Ostersunds reduce it by scoring a goal, all thanks to Alex Dyer goal. However, Nilson and Christopher double the goal for Assyriska 10 minutes later after Alex goal, while Dragan only reduce it to 4:2 in 89 minutes by scoring the last goal. Of course this will motivate them here today and they will also be keen to gain their first victory since 2013 against Jonkoping.


Even though Assyriska occupied 7th position, they are not far behind Sirius which is at the play off zone as they are leading Assyriska with just five points which can be reduce to two here today incase of Assyriska win.


Both team will be playing this game for different reasons, however, due to the head to head in favor of Jonkoping and current class within each other, I will give the home side the advantage to win this game here again today to follow the trend of their last five win over Assyriska.

Stoke City vs Liverpool

 Stoke entertain Liverpool with a lot of confidence going behind them especially after the strong showing made by them on the last day of the season, when they demolished Liverpool by a score of 6-1.


Stoke have signed a good bunch of players leading up into this season that has helped them strengthen and give experience such as Glen Johnson, Joselu, Ibrahim Afellay, Sergio Molina, Shay Given, van Ginkel. They still retain a core of their players who performed well last season to help to a 9th place finish last year such as Adam, Bojan, Walters, Diouf, Ireland, Arnautovic among others who will continue delivering a strong performance for the coming season. Mark Hughes has made the Britannia Stadium some what of a fortress and had a better home record than several big teams like Swansea, West Ham, Everton, West Brom etc. Stoke are intact really good on the offensive end especially at home with only Chelsea keeping them to a clean sheet in the whole of last campaign.


Liverpool have strengthened their lineup with a bunch of attacking signings such as Firmino, Benteke, Ings, Milner as well as Clyne. Those signings help them to resolve their issue of scoring goals an creating chances while going forwards; however with lack of any new defensive signings, its still leaves them vulnerable towards conceding, much like they did when they conceded 6 at the end of the campaign.


Liverpool did not face any major opposition during their pre-season tour and despite that they conceded goals against average opposition like Swindon Town, Malayasian All Stars and Brisbane Roar. As ever Skrtel, Loveren & Mignolet should start off on the defensive end but they have showed last year that they are vulnerable especially at set pieces where Stoke City tend to grab a lot of their goals.


For this price of 1.85, it should be a relative banker for both of these teams to score in this encounter.

Accrington vs Luton

 Luton started last season well and looked to be heading for anothe promotion, but a pretty poor Xmas period followed by some awful results in the new year left them just adrift of the play offs.


They have made some excellent signings over the summer with quality players like Craig Mackail-Smith, Jack Marriott, Paddy McCourt, McQuoid and Okuonghae, who all should have a little too much quality for this league. Luton are one of the favourites this season for the play offs, in what is always a tight league. With the signings they have made they should be up there. They have had a pretty decent pre season results as well.


Accrington struggled last season and there is no reason to think that this will change last season. One of the favorites to go down and have signed no real players of note. They have had a decent pre season though, so keep the stakes small.

Brest vs Nimes

  Strange start in L2 with 7 draws and 3 away wins in first round, 6 of the draws being 0-0; maybe the teams forgot to score? I don't think so, but I must say we had one on the tough round from all 19; If I don't make a mistake this round will be the 38th - the last, and if will be something at stake at that time will be more interesting round and final of the season.


Brest remains also this year one of the promotion contender. Even they lost a lot of good players ( GK Thebeaux, Courtet, Laborde, Moimbe, Khaled, Ramare, Toure and Traore most of them playing a lot in last season) the team is quite leveled and strong enough at least in defence. They are coming after a 0-0 away at Auxerre being more dangerous than Auxerre who didn't had any real goal opportunity. Ex- Lille new signing Koubemba is suspended also Perez. They are good enough upfront and perhaps we will see goals in this round for them.


On the other side Nimes will have a difficult season. Being punished with 8 points (due to fix games scandal - remember 2 seasons ago) they are happy to play in L2 after being relegated by FFF in National, but wining at appeal with one round to go in previous season. So now they must cope with this deduction and try to survive. But in my opinion will be very very difficult to survive. Some players left the team (Parpeix, Omrani, Kovacevic, Nouri) other come but most of them from lower league or L2 relegated teams and I rate them weakened than last season.


In first round of course 0-0 at home against relegated Evian, but over all being the positive squad in the game.


Will be difficult for Pasquelletti squad against Brest, who will try to win their first game in front of their fans. I see a home win but for this competition I'll go for home win at nil. gl
